Intimate views of Camargue horses

The fundamental emblem of the Camargue, the Camargue horse is a breed native to the Rhone delta in southern France. Faithful partners to the gardians, Camargue horses are lively, graceful, independent companions, capable of competing with each other and breaking into a frenzied gallop. Traditionally bred in the wild without human intervention, either in their native marshes or in manades, these horses win the admiration of visitors. But why? Better known as the "white horse of the Camargue", it is not born with this coat. A Camargue foal is always born with a darker coat, usually beige, brown or even black. The coat will lighten with age, becoming greyer and greyer, and more and more airy. This animal, with its strong but docile character, has easily found its place on our estate...
