A stroll through the streets of Les Baux de Provence

The best way to visit Les Baux de Provence is to stroll through its narrow streets. The village is best visited on foot. Even though it's not very large, it's easy - and pleasant! - to get lost. Take time to admire the restored old houses, Renaissance facades and beautiful doors. Visit its art galleries and craft stores. You'll also find several museums, including the Musée d'Histoire et d'Archéologie des Baux, where you can learn more about the village's past.

Les Carrières de Lumières, the first attraction in Les Baux de Provence

At the foot of the town of Les Baux de Provence, the Carrières de Lumières are a listed natural site. In 1978, these immense underground quarries were converted into a sound and light show site. Over a hundred video projectors project works of art onto a surface area of more than 7,000 m². These immersive shows attract some 600,000 visitors every year.

Visitors were able to admire shows featuring some of the world's greatest artists: Dali, Gaudi, Van Gogh... But also thematic exhibitions such as Venice in Art, or Tintin - which can already be visited until June 30.

Visit the Château des Baux de Provence

The Château des Baux de Provence, or Citadelle des Baux, extends over 7 hectares, where visitors can admire the ruins of the medieval castle, the chapelle castrale and chapelle Saint-Blaise, the keep, the Sarrazine and Paravelle towers and the former Quiqueran hospital. This 13th-century château was built at the request of the des Baux family as a fortress. Activities include a photo exhibition and an escape game.

Admission is free for children under 7, and a combined Château des Baux + Carrières de Lumières ticket is also available.
